A Rotary Campaign in Reepham
Polio has been eliminated in all but four countries:
India ,Pakistan ,Afghanistan and. They are not the easiest places in which to work, but we are achieving results. Because there are Rotary clubs on the ground in every country, they know how to make the programme successful in their area. Nigeria £1 immunises five children.
Bill Gates of Microsoft has taken more than a keen interest in our activities. His promise to Rotary was to give $200 million if Rotary around the world could match it in three years.
Our contribution to this target in Reepham is £1500. We are well on the way, but we need the help of our community for the last push.
Every Rotary club in the
is arranging events around February 23rd, which is Rotary Day. UK
Rotary members will be in the town from Monday February 15th to Saturday February 20th to explain our worldwide work on polio.
Norfolk Country Cottages have kindly agreed to let us use a desk and put up some displays. Do please come and see what we are doing and take the chance to win in our special polio raffle
